student council: a candidate's point of view

Dear viewer the elections for the student council are getting closer. I can't wait to see who wins. I am running against Gretchen and Teddy. They are good competition. Running for president is hard. You have to make posters, stickers\pins, speeches, but the hardest part is to get the voters to vote. Wow is that hard! You get a voters vote and then you loose there vote to someone else. It is even harder when all you can do to get the voters vote is by giving the stickers/pins and telling them to vote for you. You can not give money, t-shirts, pens, hats, or anything else. The positions you can run for goes by grade so like 4th grade runs treasurer, 5th runs for secretary, and 6th runs for vice president and president. the speeches and elections are on October 30th. I can not wait!

Student Council: Voter's View

Student council is merging closer and closer. Many candidates are putting up funny and persuasive posters and stickers with cool catch phrases. Students will vote on October 30, 2009. On that day is when our candidates will give speeches. The ranks of the student council go by grade. 4th graders can run for treasurer. 5th graders can run for secretary. And 6th graders can run for either vice president or president. As time for the election comes closer and closer, the candidates are getting competitive and voters are considering their choice. Some candidates are making reusable pins. In my opinion, this helps the environment and this may lead that candidate to get more votes. Posters are everywhere: the lunch room, hallway, you name it! Lots of people are running for office and it's going to be a close race.
